Wind Stocks Positioned for Growth As Wind Energy Propels America To Energy Independence

Wind Stocks will most likely receive additional attention now and in months to come if energy prices continue to rise. Once again, Oil prices have exploded over $100 dollars a barrel and the prices at the gas pump aren’t getting any cheaper, but its situations such as these that remind Americans why Green sustainable energy is the future of our Nation.

Although many aren’t aware, two green energy sectors are likely to receive additional interest due to a recent announcement from the American Wind Energy Association(AWEA). The AWEA boldly suggested that wind is the most likely candidate to power upcoming electric vehicles being brought to market by all major auto makers. When I learned that wind could be powering our cars in the future it made me realize the potential savings “wind energy” can provide our nation with.

Here is a portion of the AWEA Feb 28th PR that really popped out:

Tapping homegrown wind energy to power our cars could have a major impact on America’s dependence on imported oil over time. According to Salerno, if plug-in hybrids were to grow to half the U.S. vehicle fleet, for example, and those vehicles were charged with clean wind energy:

  • America would avoid the use of over 60 billion gallons of gasoline a year
  • America would use 3 billion fewer barrels of oil a year
  • It would take 143 gigawatts of wind energy–less than 2% of the total wind resource potential in the U.S.

We don’t have to wait that long to get the benefits of driving on wind power. “Just one 100-megawatt wind farm generates enough electricity in a year to power one billion miles of plug-in hybrid driving,” Salerno says. “Sliced another way, that’s enough for 87,500 plug–in hybrid vehicles to drive 12,000 miles a year, from just one typical wind farm.”

The potential economic benefits wind energy can provide out Nation With is incredible!

In addition to the potential savings wind can provide Americans with at the gas pump, id like to bring to your attention residential wind turbines and the only public company I know that is aggressively expanding their Sales Network to capture consumers interested in lowering their electric bill. Residential wind caught my attention due to my belief that the electric car sector will be very much dependent on residential & commercial wind energy if its ever to be considered a green solution. The following facts will give you insight as to how Wind Energy may become a driving economic force in the US in the next 20 years!

Jobs, Jobs and More Jobs = A stronger US Economy and here are the supporting facts

1)     95% of all small wind systems sold in the U.S. last year were made by U.S. manufacturers

2)     2/3 of all small wind systems sold in the world last year were made by U.S. manufacturers

3)     Approximately 250 companies worldwide manufacture or plan to manufacture small wind turbines, 95 of which—more than one-third—are based in the U.S.

4)     An estimated 100,000 units have been sold in the u.S. since 1980

Residents or businesses located in windy States that are interested in lowering their electric bill should look into a new Wind Stock by the name XZERES Corp. (Stock Symbol:XPWR). The company recently set up a new and nifty application on their site that can show you what the average wind speed is in your area and what the potential savings would be if you were to install one of their wind turbines on your property! If you live in a windy area I would suggest using the Xzeres App to see how much you can save and what government incentives are available to you! The Xzeres App does all that!

What really impressed me about XPWR is their ability to finance individuals who may be in need of financing options. When people find themselves in this situation Xzeres will do a site assessment and if the client qualifies Xzeres will finance the unit with two conditions:

1)     The client must assign all incentives over to Xzeres

2)     The client must sign a power purchase agreement to buy all electricity produced by XZERES Corp Wind Turbines located on the clients property for a minimum of amount of years after which the client would own the turbine and all electricity produced would be free. If utilizing wind turbines to offset your electric cost has peeked your interest you can click on the links below to see if this would benefit your house, farm, ranch or business.

Not to mention that this wind stock is aggressively expanding its sales force and distribution network! If house hold electric cost begin to rise, stocks like XPWR will benefit!

Wind Stock: XZERES Corp. Stock Symbol: XPWR

Wind Stock XPWR designs, develops, manufactures and markets distributed generation, wind power systems for the small wind (2.5kW-100kW) market. Their grid connected and off grid wind turbine systems, which consist of our 2.5kW and 10kW devices and related equipment, are utilized for electrical power generation for applications and markets such as residential, micro-grid based rural electrification, agricultural, small business, rural electric utility systems, as well as other private, corporate infrastructure and government applications. Our wind power systems are focused on distributed energy, where a specific machine’s energy output is largely or entirely used on-site where the equipment is installed, as well as grid connected applications. While many of our customers take advantage of their local net-metering rules within the United States and Feed In Tariffs that are often available in Europe and Internationally (to sell power back to the grid), our wind power systems are not dependent on transmission needs to carry the energy produced to another location. For more information please see the Company’s web site at www.xzeres.com

Keep all these windstocks on your radar, especially XPWR since it has currently generated more revenue than all of the above companies in the last 9 months!
